Dhaka:The Power Division has issued a directive allowing shopping malls, markets, and shops to remain open from 11am to 10pm until October 22 for the upcoming Sharadiya Durga Puja 2026.
According to Bangladesh Sangbad Sangstha, The directive also states that from October 23, the existing schedule will be reinstated, with these establishments closing at 8pm. This schedule aligns with the government’s earlier electricity conservation measures announced on August 12, which included limiting operating hours and restricting decorative lighting after 7pm.
