Expatriate Welfare minister off to UAE for creating more foreign employment

DHAKA, May 15, 2017 (BSS) - Expatriate Welfare and Overseas Employment Minister Nurul Islam today left Dhaka leading a seven-member high-level delegation to United Arab Emirates (UAE) for creating more Bangladeshi overseas employment in the oil-rich middle eastern nation.

During the visit, the Bangladesh minister will hold bilateral meeting with UAE's Human Resources and Emiratization Minister Saqr Ghobash Saeed Ghobash and Deputy Prime Minister and also Interior Minister Lt General Sheikh Saif Bin Zayed Al Nahyan to discuss various issues related to overseas employment generation and welfare of expatriate Bangladeshi workers.

Though the UEA is an important oversees labour market for Bangladesh, currently it is recruiting Bangladeshi manpower only for few of its sector. The main aim of the Bangladesh delegation's visit is to make the UAE market open for Bangladeshi workers, an official handout said here today.

The minister is scheduled to return here on May 21.
