Members of Detective Branch (DB) of Police
in a drive arrested former panel mayor of Mymensingh City Corporation (MCC)
Asif Hossain Dawn from Uttara area in the capital early today.
Officer-in-Charge (OC) of Mymensingh district DB police Md Shahidul Islam
confirmed this noon.
He said, on information, a team of the DB police conducted a raid at a house
in Uttara around 3 am and nabbed him.
Asif Hossain Dawn was accused of a case filed over Riduan murder during the
anti-discrimination student movement in Mymensingh. He is the elder brother
of former mayor of Mymensingh City Corporation Ekramul Haque Titu.
