Real Madrid were crowned champions in the 2021–2022 La Liga season as they were more consistent than other teams. They earned 86 points in total, 13 points more than second-placed FC Barcelona. Sevilla finished fourth in the points table with 70 points. The top four teams have qualified for the UEFA Champions League next season.

Real Betis and Real Sociedad secured Europa League spots by finishing in fifth and sixth place, respectively. Besides, Villarreal finished seventh with 59 points and they will play in the UEFA Conference League next season. Meanwhile, Granada, Levante, and Alaves were all relegated to the Segunda Division.
Real Betis won the Copa del Rey this season, their third title overall and the first time in 17 years. Real Madrid have a chance to win their 14th Champions League trophy if they beat Liverpool in the final on Saturday (May 28).
Italian Serie A 2021-2022 Review
AC Milan won their 19th league title this season, and their first in 11 years, with a 3-0 victory over Sassuolo on the final day. Inter Milan fought hard throughout the season but had to finish second with 84 points. However, they did manage to win the Coppa Italia 2022 after securing a 4-0 victory over Juventus in the final. Oppositely, Juventus finished fourth in Serie A with 70 points and secured a Champions League spot next season along with AC Milan, Inter Milan, and Napoli, who finished third in the league.

Lazio and Roma finished fifth and sixth, respectively, and will play in the Europa League next season. While Fiorentina secured a UEFA Conference League spot by finishing seventh in the league.
