Amid sweltering summer heat, the weather department has predicted showers in the eight divisions of Bangladesh in the next 24 hours.
Rain or thundershowers accompanied by temporary gusty wind is likely to occur at many places over Rangpur, Mymensingh, Dhaka, Chattogram and Sylhet divisions and at a few places over Rajshahi, Khulna and Barishal divisions, the Bangladesh Meteorological Department (BMD) said Wednesday.
The highest temperature today was recorded at 37.2 degrees Celsius in Khulna, while the minimum temperature was 23.5 degrees in Chattogram and Kutubdia.
The maximum rainfall was recorded at 78mm in Noakhali’s Maijdee Court in the last 24 hours till 6pm Wednesday.
