Dhaka: European Union (EU) Ambassador in Dhaka Michael Miller today held a meeting with Vice-Chairman of National Consensus Commission Professor Ali Riaz. The meeting took place at the Consensus Commission office in the Sangsad Bhaban area of the capital, as detailed in a commission press release.
According to Bangladesh Sangbad Sangstha, during the meeting, the parties discussed the activities, goals, and achievements of the commission. Prof Ali Riaz provided the EU envoy with a briefing on the dialogues held with political parties under the commission’s initiative. These efforts aim to establish national consensus and implement the ‘July National Charter’.
Michael Miller praised the commission’s activities and expressed hope for the successful completion of the ongoing efforts.
