Dhaka: English medium schools and coaching centers across the country will begin their Ramadan vacation starting tomorrow, as directed by the government. This measure aims to alleviate public inconvenience during the holy month of Ramadan.
According to Bangladesh Sangbad Sangstha, the announcement was made through an official order signed by Shirin Akhter, the senior assistant secretary of the secondary and higher secondary division of the Education Ministry. The decision was reached unanimously in a meeting chaired by the Education Minister, which included representatives from English medium schools.
Per the decision, classes in these schools will be suspended from tomorrow and will remain closed until the government-declared holiday for Eid ul Fitr. However, compulsory examinations under foreign curricula that were previously scheduled will proceed as planned.
Additionally, the order mandates that all coaching centers, both Bangla and English medium, will also remain closed during this period.
