Dhaka: Senior Secretary of the Ministry of Land ASM Saleh Ahmed today emphasized the importance of honesty, responsibility, and patriotism among employees of the republic to drive the country’s development. He highlighted these attributes as the essential foundations for building human character and propelling national progress during a monthly coordination meeting held at the Secretariat.
According to Bangladesh Sangbad Sangstha, Saleh Ahmed stressed the necessity of ensuring the optimal use of land and providing people-friendly land services through transparent, efficient, modern, and sustainable land management. He further elaborated on achieving socio-economic development by modernizing land management, protecting agricultural land, promoting environmental development, ensuring food security, and alleviating poverty using science and information technology.
Saleh Ahmed also called for sincere efforts to create a livable environment for both current and future generations. This involves the well-planned use of non-agricultural land, mitigating climate change risks, and resolving land-related issues. The meeting was attended by Land Reforms Board Chairman AKM Salahuddin Nagri, Land Appeal Board Chairman Dr Mahmud Hasan, Land Record and Survey Department Director General Md Saidur Rahman, and additional secretaries of the ministry.
