Dhaka: Opener Parvez Hossain Emon was given rest from the second T20 International against United Arab Emirates (UAE) as part of precautionary measures. The decision came after Emon experienced discomfort in his left groin while batting in the first T20 match, where he scored a record-breaking century. Despite his stellar performance, he did not field in the latter part of the match, which saw the Tigers secure a 27-run victory.

According to Bangladesh Sangbad Sangstha, Emon was cleared to play in the second game after passing a fitness test. However, the team management opted to give him additional time to achieve full recovery. The decision aligns with a strategic plan to rotate players throughout the series, ensuring all team members receive game-time ahead of the important T20 series in Pakistan.
