Dhaka:The Election Commission has restarted voter transfer services, which had been suspended since September 10.
According to United News of Bangladesh, the suspension was initially due to an instruction given on September 2 for field-level officials to process voter address transfer applications by September 10, ahead of local government elections. However, with the election schedule now delayed, the commission has decided to resume these services.
On Wednesday, a letter was sent to the Director General of the National Identity Registration Wing, as well as regional and district election officers, instructing them to restart voter transfer services. Field-level offices have been directed to continue receiving applications for voter transfers, ensuring the necessary verification and processing are completed.
