Chattogram: An elderly man died and a total of 17 people have been infected with dengue in Chattogram city and district during the last 24 hours.
According to Bangladesh Sangbad Sangstha, a total of 3,579 people were admitted to hospitals in the city due to dengue this year.
Monir Hossain, 61, died of dengue while undergoing treatment at Chattogram Medical College Hospital. At least 141 patients are currently undergoing treatment in different hospitals across the city. This year, a total of 36 people have died from the disease.
District Civil Surgeon Dr. Jahangir Alam has advised residents to stay informed about dengue by following health guidelines.
