Lalmonirhat: Disaster Management and Relief Minister Asadul Habib Dulu today stated that the flame of Ekushey illuminated the path to independence for the nation, instilling a spirit of sacrifice, protest, and a relentless struggle for rights in generations.
According to Bangladesh Sangbad Sangstha, the minister highlighted that Ekushey teaches the nation to uphold the glory of sacrifice, fostering a mindset of resistance and a journey to secure rights. He emphasized that Ekushey signifies a refusal to submit and represents a powerful voice of protest.
Addressing a discussion as the chief guest on ‘Shaheed Dibosh’ and International Mother Language Day at the Lalmonirhat Zila Parishad auditorium, he underscored the enduring spirit of defiance and resilience that was forged through the Liberation War. This spirit, he noted, culminated in the mass uprising of 2024 and is embodied in the current elected government.
The event, organized by the Lalmonirhat district administration, was presided over by Lalmonirhat Deputy Commissioner H M Rakib Hayder. Other speakers included Superintendent of Police Md Asaduzzaman and Language Movement veteran Abdul Kader.
