Tangail: Eight shops, including a medicine shop, were gutted in a fire at Mirzapur upazila early this morning. The incident occurred at Patharghata Bazar in Tarafpur union of the upazila around 12:30 am, and the flames quickly spread to nearby shops.
According to Bangladesh Sangbad Sangstha, three fire-fighting units responded promptly to the scene. The units managed to bring the blaze under control after two hours of intensive efforts, as stated by Tangail Fire Service and Civil Defense Assistant Director Shafiqul Islam Bhuiyan.
