Dhaka: A three-day long training workshop on Sufi/Qawwali music has commenced under the arrangement of Bangladesh Shilpakala Academy's Training Department. The workshop, which began yesterday, is being conducted in the seminar room of the National Theatre.
According to Bangladesh Sangbad Sangstha, the workshop started on Wednesday at 3 pm and will continue from 2 pm to 5 pm every day until March 21. This initiative aims to enhance the skills and knowledge of participants in the art of Sufi/Qawwali music.
The main instructor for the workshop is the renowned Qawwali artist, Md Sameer Hossain, popularly known as Sameer Qawwal. The course is directed by Begum Kamrun Nahar, ensuring a comprehensive learning experience for the attendees.
A total of 15 trainees are participating in this workshop, which is expected to provide them with valuable insights and training in Sufi/Qawwali music.
