Education Fair at University of Rajshahi Highlights Pakistan-Bangladesh Knowledge Corridor Program

Rajshahi: An education fair was held today at the University of Rajshahi (RU) under the Pakistan-Bangladesh Knowledge Corridor Program. The inaugural ceremony took place in the Engineering Faculty Gallery of Dr. Jamal Nazrul Islam Academic Building, drawing significant attention from students and educators alike.



According to Bangladesh Sangbad Sangstha, the event was graced by the presence of the RU Pro-Vice-Chancellor (Administration) Professor Mohammad Main Uddin, who served as the chief guest. Distinguished guests included Jehanjeb Khan, Director of the Pakistan Higher Education Commission; Ayesha Ikram, Director General of the Scholarships and International Relations Division; Deputy High Commissioner Mohammad Wasif; and North Bengal International University Vice-Chancellor Professor M. Sayedur Rahman.



The fair saw participation from twenty top universities from Pakistan, providing a platform for students to learn about educational opportunities abroad. Students were informed about 500 fully-funded scholarships offered by the Government of Pakistan specifically for Bangladeshi students, highlighting the collaborative efforts between the two nations to enhance educational exchange.



The event was organized with the support of RU’s Office of International Affairs and the Career Counseling and Development Center. Other notable attendees included Professor Muhammad Sazzadur Rahim, Director of the Office of International Affairs, and Professor Md. Nurul Momen, Director of the Career Counseling and Development Center, among other officials.
