Education Adviser Calls on Youths to Champion Peace and Justice

Dhaka: Education Advisor Professor Dr. CR Abrar has urged youths to build a world founded on peace, tolerance, and justice. He emphasized the importance of leveraging new technologies to overcome global challenges such as intolerance, extremism, and narrow-mindedness, which stand in the way of significant achievements. “The youths will have to face these challenges and build a new world with their talent, skills, and hard work,” he added.



According to Bangladesh Sangbad Sangstha, Dr. Abrar made this call during the 24th convocation ceremony of East West University, held at the Aftabnagar playground in the capital. Serving as the representative of the university Chancellor, Dr. Abrar presented degrees to the graduating students.



At the convocation, a total of 2,885 undergraduate and postgraduate students were awarded certificates, and six outstanding students received gold medals in recognition of their achievements. The event was attended by several notable figures, including National Security Adviser and Chief Adviser’s High Representative Dr. Khalilur Rahman, Bangladesh University Grants Commission (UGC) Chairman Professor Dr. S M A Faiz, and Apex Group Managing Director Syed Nasim Manjur.



Additionally, the University Board of Trustees President Professor Dr. Mohammad Farashuddin, Vice Chancellor Professor Dr. Shams Rahman, Pro-Vice Chancellors, members of the Board of Trustees of East West University, treasurer, deans of various faculties, chairpersons of various departments, teachers, officers, employees, as well as graduates and their guardians, were present to witness the occasion.
