Bogura: Members of the ‘Amra BNP Paribar’ have initiated a dustbin installation programme at strategic locations across Bogura town, under the slogan ‘Clean Bogra, Green Bogura’, with the aim of promoting cleanliness and environmental consciousness.
According to Bangladesh Sangbad Sangstha, the initiative was conducted on Saturday night to help maintain the town’s cleanliness and organization. The overall cleanliness programme is being overseen by Atiqur Rahman Rumon, the convener of Amra BNP Paribar, under the guidance of BNP Acting Chairman and chief patron of the Amra BNP Paribar, Tarique Rahman.
The programme was officially inaugurated by Kalam Azad, the Rajshahi and Rangpur divisional coordinator of the BNP Media Cell, at the District Judge Court area. On the first day, dustbins were placed in several important locations, including the Bogura Circuit House, District Court premises, Satmatha, Post Office area, Bogura Press Club, Azizul Haque College, and Shah Sultan College.
During the inauguration, Kalam Azad mentioned that the first phase of the dustbin installation programme is currently in progress. He expressed optimism that the continuous placement of dustbins would greatly enhance cleanliness and hygiene in Bogura town.
He further added that building a clean and green Bogura has been a long-standing aspiration of the town’s residents, and various initiatives have been launched as part of this larger campaign.
The event was attended by former town JASAS General Secretary Rasheduzzaman Pias, District Chhatra Dal Organizing Secretary Shams Islam Sagar, along with other party leaders and activists.
