Manikganj: A preparatory meeting was held in Manikganj to observe the Durgapuja festival peacefully. The meeting took place at the District Council Auditorium, chaired by Deputy Commissioner Dr. Manwar Hossein Molla.
According to Bangladesh Sangbad Sangstha, the Deputy Commissioner urged all participants to cooperate in arranging the Puja in a peaceful and collective manner, involving everyone. Key attendees included Chief Executive of the District Council Mehedi Hasan, Additional Police Super Abdullah Al Mamun, and Sena Camp representative Captain Shafik.
Also present were District BNP convening committee member Satyen Kanti Pandit, Member Secretary of Hindu Kalyan Trust Gourango Chandra Sarkar, District Puja Udjapon Parishad Vice President Bashudeb Goswami, District Hindu Bouddha Christian Oikko Parishad President Kali Pad Ghosh, and District Hindu Mohajot General Secretary Taposh Rajbongsi.
The meeting concluded with a decision to arrange the emersion of the deity at the Kaliganga River instead of the Reserve Tank area.
