Dhaka: The admission test for first-year undergraduate programmes under the Science Unit of Dhaka University for the 2025-26 academic session was held today. The examination took place from 3.30 pm to 5 pm, with a total of 114,114 students vying for 1,891 available seats.
According to Bangladesh Sangbad Sangstha, Dhaka University Pro-Vice Chancellor (Administration) Professor Dr. Sayma Haque Bidisha, Pro-Vice Chancellor (Academic) Professor Dr. Mamun Ahmed, Treasurer Professor Dr. M Jahangir Alam Chowdhury, Dean of the Faculty of Science Professor Dr. Abdus Salam, and Science Unit admission test coordinator and Dean of the Faculty of Biological Sciences Professor Dr. Md Enamul Haque visited the exam centre at Curzon Hall.
In addition to Dhaka, the admission test was conducted at public universities in seven divisional cities outside the capital. The cities included Rajshahi, Chattogram, Barishal, Khulna, Sylhet, Mymensingh, and Rangpur, with respective centres at Rajshahi University, Chattogram University, Barishal University, Khulna University, Shahjalal University of Science and Technology, Bangladesh Agricultural University, and Begum Rokeya University.
