Dhaka: The admission test for the first-year undergraduate programme of the Business Education Unit (Faculty of Business Studies) at Dhaka University for the 2025-2026 academic session was held today in a fair and peaceful manner. A total of 34,062 candidates participated in the exam, which included 5,148 from the science stream, 5,892 from humanities, and 23,222 from business education, all competing for 1,050 seats available in the programme.
According to Bangladesh Sangbad Sangstha, the admission test commenced at 11:00 am and continued until 12:30 pm without any interruptions. The examination was conducted not only on the DU campus but also in four divisional cities outside Dhaka, namely Chittagong University, Rajshahi University, Khulna University, and Rangpur Begum Rokeya University.
Out of the 1,050 seats in the faculty (Ga unit), 930 are designated for business education students, 95 for science students, and 25 for humanities students. On average, approximately 33 candidates are competing for each seat, as stated in a press release issued by DU this afternoon.
Dhaka University Vice-Chancellor Professor Dr. Niaz Ahmed Khan made a visit to the examination center at noon. He was accompanied by Pro-Vice Chancellor (Administration) Prof Dr Saima Haque Bidisha, Pro-VC (Education) Prof Dr Mamun Ahmed, Treasurer Prof Dr M Jahangir Alam Chowdhury, Dean of the Faculty of Business Studies Prof Dr Mahmud Osman Imam, and Proctor Prof Saifuddin Ahmed during the visit.
