Dhaka: The Dhaka South City Corporation (DSCC) has suspended its acting Executive Engineer Golam Kibria Rubel following allegations of tender manipulation, irregularities in shop allocation, abuse of power, and other acts of misconduct.
According to United News of Bangladesh, an office order issued on Monday announced that Rubel, who served as the additional executive engineer of Zone-7 under the Market Construction Cell, has been relieved of all official duties pending an investigation. The order highlighted multiple complaints against him, focusing on alleged irregularities and misconduct in tender-related activities, management and allocation of shops, and other administrative matters within his area of responsibility.
DSCC authorities have confirmed that an investigation into these allegations is underway. To ensure a fair and impartial inquiry, Rubel has been attached to the office of the Chief Executive Officer and has been suspended from all official responsibilities until the completion of the investigation.
