Dhaka: Bangladesh Meteorological Department (BMD) has predicted that weather would remain dry with a partly cloudy sky over the country in the next 24 hours commencing at 9 am today. Moderate to thick fog may occur at places across the nation from midnight to morning, possibly continuing until noon in certain areas. This dense fog could temporarily disrupt air navigation, inland river transport, and road communication, as stated in a Met office bulletin.

According to Bangladesh Sangbad Sangstha, a mild cold wave is currently sweeping over the districts of Jashore, Chuadanga, Gopalganj, Rajshahi, Pabna, Sirajganj, and Nilphamari, and it may persist in these areas. Night and day temperatures are expected to rise slightly across the country; however, due to the foggy conditions, cold sensations might persist in many regions.

The highest temperature recorded on Thursday was 29 degrees Celsius in Teknaf, Cox’s Bazar, while the minimum temperature today is 9 degrees Celsius in Jashore. In Dhaka, the sun is set to set at 5:19 pm today and will rise at 6:40 am tomorrow.
