Aricha: Ferry services on the Aricha-Kazirhat river route resumed this morning after being suspended for 11 hours because of dense fog.
According to Bangladesh Sangbad Sangstha, Bangladesh Inland Water Transport Corporation (BIWTC) Aricha Ghat Assistant General Manager (AGM) Md Abdullah stated that ferry movement was halted from 11:00 pm on Thursday as visibility sharply decreased.
“After improvement in visibility, ferry services resumed at 10:00 am today,” Md Abdullah confirmed. He further mentioned that all five ferries are now operating normally with full loads. There was no significant traffic congestion at Aricha Ghat, except for a few stranded trucks.
