Gonoshasthaya Kendra founder and valiant Freedom Fighter Dr Zafrullah Chowdhury will be buried at Gonoshasthaya Kendra in Savar tomorrow.
People of all walks of life paid their last respects to Dr Zafrullah Chowdhury, whose body was taken to Central Shaheed Minar this morning.
A refrigerated van carrying his body was taken to the premises of Shaheed Minar from the mortuary of BIRDEM around 10:00am.
A contingent of police led by Hedayetul Islam, additional deputy commissioner, paid guard of honour to Dr Zafrullah at 12:30 pm at Shaheed Minar.
His body was taken to Suhrawardy Udyan, where his first namaz-e-janaza was held at 2:30pm.
His body will be taken to Gonoshasthaya Kendra in Savar at 10:00am tomorrow for his second namaz-e-janaza, to be held after Juma prayers.
Dr Zafrullah Chowdhury passed away on April 11 at Gonoshasthaya Nagar Hospital here at the age of 81.
