Dhaka: The government has officially appointed Professor Dr. S.M. Hemayet Jahan from the Department of Entomology at Patuakhali Science and Technology University (PSTU) as the new Vice-Chancellor of the institution. This appointment marks a significant development in the leadership of the university, as announced today by the Secondary and Higher Education Division under the Ministry of Education.
According to Bangladesh Sangbad Sangstha, the notification detailed that Dr. Hemayet Jahan’s appointment as Vice-Chancellor is in accordance with Section 10(1) of the Patuakhali Science and Technology University Act, 2001. His leadership is expected to guide PSTU in academic and administrative affairs moving forward.
