DNCC Aims for Swift Animal Waste Removal During Eid-ul-Azha

Dhaka: Dhaka North City Corporation (DNCC) has planned to remove sacrificial animal waste within 12 hours, beginning from 2pm today on the occasion of Eid-ul-Azha.



According to Bangladesh Sangbad Sangstha, State Minister for LGRD and Cooperatives Mir Shahe Alam and DNCC administrator Md. Shafiqul Islam Khan inspected the waste removal operations in the Mirpur Ceramic Road area of the capital. Shahe Alam expressed optimism that the removal of animal waste would be completed well before 2am.



He emphasized that the operation will extend over the next two days, with around 16,000 sanitation workers and 752 vehicles actively engaged in removing the sacrificial animal waste. Administrator Shafiqul Islam Khan highlighted the corporation’s coordinated 72-hour action plan for managing the animal waste effectively. Corporation officials were present during the inspection to ensure the smooth execution of the plan.
