Dhaka: The Dhaka North City Corporation (DNCC) has named the newly renovated road from Kasaibari to Kanchkura Bazar after the renowned Islamic scholar and widely respected religious figure, Muhammadullah Hafezzi. DNCC Administrator Mohammad Azaz officially inaugurated the newly named 'Hafezzi Huzur Sarani' at the Kasaibari Rail Gate area.

According to Bangladesh Sangbad Sangstha, during the inauguration, the administrator emphasized the importance of collective progress for the nation, highlighting Hafezzi Huzur's pioneering role among scholars and religious leaders in contributing to the welfare of the people of Bangladesh. He noted that while scholars traditionally focused on religious education, Hafezzi Huzur actively involved the religious community in both social and political arenas.

Azaz further stated that Hafezzi Huzur was not affiliated with any political party and was respected by all scholars in the country. He explained that naming the road after Hafezzi Huzur serves as a tribute to his significant contributions.

The administrator also announced plans to name the main road from Azampur to Colony after the martyred freedom fighter Abdul Latif. The event was attended by local dignitaries and representatives from various political parties.
