DMP Files 5565 Cases for Violating Traffic Rules in Dhaka

Dhaka: Dhaka Metropolitan Police's (DMP) Traffic Division has filed a total of 5565 cases in the last six days against vehicles, owners, and drivers across the capital for violating traffic rules. A DMP release issued here today was signed by Deputy Commissioner of Police (Media and Public Relations Division) of the Dhaka Metropolitan Police Muhammad Talebur Rahman.

According to Bangladesh Sangbad Sangstha, during the campaign against traffic rule violations, 441 motor vehicles were dumped and 260 vehicles were towed. The DMP release added that the DMP Traffic Division has filed these cases and realized fines in the last six days from April 1, 2025, to April 6, 2025.

These drives against traffic rule breakers will continue to ensure discipline on Dhaka's streets, the release added.
