DMP Files 4016 Cases for Traffic Violations Across Dhaka

Dhaka: The Traffic Division of Dhaka Metropolitan Police (DMP) has filed a total of 4016 cases over the last three days across the capital for violating traffic rules.



According to Bangladesh Sangbad Sangstha, the information was confirmed through a press release issued today, signed by Deputy Commissioner of Police (Media and Public Relations Division) of Dhaka Metropolitan Police Muhammad Talebur Rahman. The DMP Traffic Division conducted a regular drive against traffic rule violators from February 20-22, resulting in the filing of these cases and the collection of fines.



During the operation, authorities dumped 432 vehicles and towed 107 others. The DMP press release also mentioned that similar enforcement drives will continue in an effort to maintain discipline on Dhaka’s streets.
