DMP Files 2,219 Cases for Violating Traffic Rules

Dhaka: The Traffic Division of the Dhaka Metropolitan Police (DMP) has filed 2,219 cases against motor vehicles for violating traffic rules in a single day across the capital. A media release of the DMP today stated that the cases were filed and fines were collected on Monday through their regular enforcement drives against traffic rule violators.

According to Bangladesh Sangbad Sangstha, a total of 324 motor vehicles were impounded and 75 were towed due to poor driving practices. Talebur Rahman, deputy commissioner of the Media and Public Relations Division of the DMP, emphasized that these enforcement drives will persist to ensure order on city streets.

The release further mentioned that the DMP is actively working towards streamlining the traffic system in the capital to facilitate easier movement for the city's residents.
