Dhaka: The Traffic Division of Dhaka Metropolitan Police (DMP) has filed 1,947 cases for violating traffic rules in different parts of the capital. Deputy Commissioner (Media and Public Relations Division) of DMP NM Nasiruddin stated that the DMP traffic division conducted a campaign against traffic rule violators during the last 24 hours and filed the cases.
According to Bangladesh Sangbad Sangstha, the DMP traffic police have taken significant actions by dumping 440 motor vehicles and towing 263 vehicles during the campaign against traffic rule violations on April 22. This initiative aimed at curbing the rising instances of traffic rule violations in the city.
The campaign saw the filing of 133 cases under Ramna zone, 232 cases under Lalbagh zone, 447 cases under Motijheel zone, and 189 cases under Wari zone. Additionally, 235 cases were filed under Tejgaon zone, 373 cases under Mirpur zone, 141 cases under Uttara zone, and 197 cases under Gulshan zone. These efforts reflect the DMP's commitment to enforcing traffic regulations.
The DMP's Traffic Division has vowed to continue its drives to maintain discipline on Dhaka's roads, ensuring safety and order for all road users.
