Dhaka: As part of the ongoing campaign to bring the traffic system under control, Dhaka Metropolitan Police’s (DMP) Traffic Division has filed a total of 1696 cases against vehicles, owners, and drivers for violating traffic rules.
According to Bangladesh Sangbad Sangstha, Deputy Commissioner (Media and Public Relations Division) of Dhaka Metropolitan Police (DMP) Muhammad Talebur Rahman stated that the DMP Traffic Division conducted a campaign against traffic rule breakers over the last three days and filed cases.
He mentioned that the DMP traffic police dumped 255 motor vehicles and towed 56 vehicles during the campaign against traffic rule violations starting from September 13.
The press release indicated that these drives against traffic rule breakers will continue to ensure discipline on Dhaka’s streets.
