DMP Files 1557 Cases for Traffic Rules Violation in Dhaka

Dhaka: The traffic division of the Dhaka Metropolitan Police (DMP) filed 1,557 cases for traffic rules violation in the capital during the last one day.



According to Bangladesh Sangbad Sangstha, the DMP Traffic Division filed these cases on March 9 through a regular drive against traffic rules breakers, as stated in a press release issued by the DMP media and Public Relations Division. The release noted that 189 motor vehicles were dumped, and 21 vehicles were towed during the drive.



The press release further mentioned that these drives against traffic rule breakers will continue to ensure discipline on Dhaka’s streets. The DMP has been actively conducting these operations to bring the traffic system under proper management, as emphasized by Muhammad Talebur Rahman, Deputy Commissioner of Police (Media and Public Relations Division) of the Dhaka Metropolitan Police.
