The meeting of the Koshi Province Assembly has concluded the discussion on substitution appropriation bill on Tuesday. The bill will substitute the ‘Koshi Province appropriation ordinance, 2080’.
The discussion had begun yesterday. It was attended by 31 lawmakers. Responding to the queries raised during the discussion, Chief Minister Kedar Karki said the appropriation bill would be beneficial to ensure democratic rights to citizens. “Province must be strong to make federalism robust,” he said, adding that the bill had provisioned free treatment to children below 10 years.
The projects below 2.5 million were removed from the bill, according to him.
The budget would be reached to the door step of citizens so that they realize the change. The women and youths would be helped to become entrepreneurs, he stressed.
