Narail: A prayer and discussion meeting was held in Lohagara upazila of the district marking the 44th martyrdom anniversary of Shaheed President Ziaur Rahman. Organised by the upazila and municipality units of BNP, the meeting took place on the premises of the Lohagara Government Pilot High School in Narail this noon.
According to Bangladesh Sangbad Sangstha, the meeting was presided over by Lohagara Upazila BNP President Ahaduzzaman Batu. It featured Narail district BNP president and party's central executive committee member Biswas Jahangir Alam as the chief guest. Narail district BNP general secretary Md Monirul Islam served as the main discussant at the function.
Several BNP leaders were present during the event, including Advocate Mahbub Morshed Japal, Tipu Sultan, and valiant freedom fighter Mustafizur Rahman Alek. Other notable attendees were Mozahidur Rahman Palash, Sultanuzzaman Selim, Milu Sharif, Khandaker Fosiar Rahman, Asaduzzaman, Shahriar Rizvi George, Saleha Begumm, Manjurul Sayed Babu, Mawlana Tayebur Rahman, and Fardi Bishwas.
