Disaster Adviser Receives Tk 3 Crore Cheque for Flood Relief

Dhaka: Relief and Disaster Management Adviser Faruk-e-Azam, Bir Protik, today received a cheque of Taka 3 crore from Eco-Tex Limited to assist those affected by last year’s floods. The cheque was presented at the office of the Ministry of Relief and Disaster Management.



According to Bangladesh Sangbad Sangstha, the adviser accepted the cheque on behalf of the Chief Adviser of the interim government. He expressed gratitude to Eco-Tex Limited for their support during the time of crisis. The event was attended by key figures including Md Mustafizur Rahman, Secretary to the Relief and Disaster Management Ministry, Additional Secretary ABM Shafiqul Islam, as well as Executive Director of Eco-Tex Limited Md Bin Kashem and Financial Director Syed Abdul Mannan.



The adviser, representing the chief adviser, has so far collected a total of 242 cheques, pay orders, and bank drafts amounting to approximately Taka 101,16,72,303 in donations.
