The long-awaited election of traditional fan-based Dhaka Mohammedan SC will be held on April 18 this year.

The decision was taken at a board of directors meeting of the club held at club tent in Motijheel Sunday night.

It is learnt from club officials that they asked the joint stock exchange for providing a full and valid list of the club members to deliver it to the election commission as soon as possible enabling them to declare a complete election schedule.

Traditional Dhaka Mohammedan SC turned into limited company in 2011, although they didn’t get enough success during the period.

The tenure of Mohammedan’s board of directors expired few years back, few months before, court appointed advocate AM Amin Uddin as interim chairman of the club to conduct the election.

However, in the Sunday’s board meeting, Mohammedan officials congratulated their acting chairman to re-elect as the president of the Supreme Court Bar Association.
