Shahjadpur:State Minister for Health and Family Welfare Dr. MA Muhit announced that proper treatment for dengue has been secured at every upazila health complex across the country.

According to Bangladesh Sangbad Sangstha, Dr. Muhit emphasized the government's efforts to restore public confidence in healthcare since taking office. As part of dengue preparedness, 2,000 doctors have received training over the past month.

Dr. Muhit addressed these issues as the chief guest at a meeting held at Shahjadpur Upazila Health Complex. He urged the public to remain vigilant in dengue prevention by keeping their homes and surroundings clean.

He highlighted the growing challenge of non-communicable diseases, noting that over 72 percent of deaths in the country are due to such illnesses, including heart disease and stroke.

Dr. Muhit advised doctors to treat patients with sincerity and empathy, likening them to family members. He suggested that clear communication in simple language could reduce misunderstandings and strengthen doctor-patient relationships.

He also underscored the need for humane behavior and empathy among medical professionals, in addition to their technical expertise.

Earlier in the day, Dr. Muhit inaugurated a breastfeeding corner at the upazila health complex. The event was attended by doctors, nurses, and other hospital staff.
