Dhaka:Eight more individuals have succumbed to dengue, and 1,782 new patients were hospitalized across the country in the 24 hours leading up to 8:00 am on Thursday.
According to United News of Bangladesh, the recent fatalities have increased the dengue death toll to 209 for the year, as reported by the Directorate General of Health Services (DGHS).
Among the deceased, three each were from Dhaka South City Corporation and Khulna division, while one was from Dhaka North City Corporation and another from Mymensingh division.
Since the beginning of the year, 69,149 dengue patients have been admitted to hospitals nationwide. Out of these, 63,874 have successfully recovered.
