Dhaka:The dengue death toll in Bangladesh has reached 201 after six more fatalities were reported due to the viral disease within a 24-hour period ending at 8:00 am on Wednesday.
According to United News of Bangladesh, 1,868 new dengue patients were hospitalized across the country during the same timeframe, as reported by the Directorate General of Health Services (DGHS).
Of the latest deaths, two occurred in the Chattogram division and Dhaka South City Corporation each, while Barishal and Mymensingh divisions reported one death each.
Since January 1, hospitals across Bangladesh have admitted a total of 67,367 dengue patients, with 62,117 of them having recovered.
