Dhaka:The very severe cyclonic storm 'Arnab' has crossed India's Andhra Pradesh coast as of Wednesday morning and is anticipated to weaken gradually as it moves in a northwestward direction. This information has been provided by the Bangladesh Meteorological Department.

According to United News of Bangladesh, the cyclone currently lies over Andhra Pradesh and the adjoining coastal area. The department's special bulletin indicates that the cyclone is expected to continue its northwestward trajectory and weaken gradually.

The cyclone's influence is causing deep convection over the North Bay. As a result, gusty or squally weather conditions may impact maritime ports, the North Bay, and the adjacent coastal areas of Bangladesh.

In response to these conditions, the maritime ports of Chattogram, Cox's Bazar, Mongla, and Payra have been advised to maintain local cautionary signal No. three. Additionally, all fishing boats and trawlers in the North Bay have been instructed to stay close to the coast and proceed with caution until further notice.
