Cute-BSPA Sports Carnival Kicks Off with Table Tennis Event

Dhaka: Cute-Bangladesh Sports Press Association (BSPA) Sports Carnival will begin through a table tennis event at Shaheed Tajuddin Ahmed Indoor Stadium in the city tomorrow. National Sports Council executive director (joint secretary) Kazi Nazrul Islam is expected to open the week-long meet as the chief guest.

According to Bangladesh Sangbad Sangstha, the details of the carnival were disclosed at a press conference held at Bangladesh Olympic Association (BOA) auditorium today. Moushumi Industries Limited chairman and Bangladesh Archery Federation founding general secretary Kazi Razib Uddin Ahmed Chapal will be present as the special guest.

Nearly a hundred members of the organization will compete in fourteen events across nine disciplines. The disciplines include archery, carom, table tennis, badminton, chess, swimming, athletics, call bridge twenty-nine, and shooting, with all matches scheduled to be held at the national stadium complex.

BSPA president Razwan-uz-zaman Rajib mentioned that the BSPA introduced the sports carnival in 2016 on a small scale, but now it is being held on a larger scale with the participation of numerous BSPA members. The carnival aims to provide entertainment for journalists. He expressed gratitude to sponsor Moushumi Industries Limited's popular brand Cute for sponsoring the carnival for the first time.

Moushumi Industries Limited chairman Kazi Razib Uddin Ahmed Chapal, BSPA general secretary Samon Hossain, its vice president Kazi Shohidul Alom, and BSPA sports and cultural secretary Abu Hoaraira Tamim were also present at the press conference.
