Dhaka: A day-long cultural festival aimed at nurturing the talent, creativity, and potential of underprivileged children was held in the capital today with the theme 'Education for All Children'. The festival titled 'Agami Fest-2026' was organised at the Institute of Architects Bangladesh (IAB) Centre in Agargaon, where students of Agami Schools participated in various cultural, creative, and educational activities.
According to Bangladesh Sangbad Sangstha, the festival featured puthi recitation, dance, art exhibition, science and mathematics fair, quiz competition, and other cultural performances, with enthusiastic participation from the children. Renowned Rabindra Sangeet singer Aditi Mohsin and Nazrul Sangeet singer Rebeka Sultana attended the event to encourage the children.
The festival was held from 9:00 am to 5:00 pm. At the science and mathematics fair, the students presented 14 science-based projects showcasing their creativity and academic skills. University teachers and education experts evaluated the projects and artworks and interacted with the students, encouraging them to explore their creativity and develop their talents.
Agami Education Foundation President Professor Nehreen Majed and Incorporated Bangladesh's Country Director Md Aminul Islam delivered welcome speeches at the event. Professor of Dhaka University (DU) Biochemistry and Molecular Biology Department Dr. Zeba Islam Seraj, dean of the Faculty of Fine Arts at Jagannath University (JnU) Professor Dr. Bazlur Rashid, and architect and co-founder of children's magazine Toitombur Hasnain Sabih Nayek, among others, attended the festival.
Later, a publication of 'Agami' magazine was formally launched at the festival.
