Chattogram: A total of 79 new dengue cases have been reported in the past 24 hours. This data was released in the routine dengue report issued by the Chattogram Civil Surgeon's Office today.
According to Bangladesh Sangbad Sangstha, among these newly-infected individuals, 31 were admitted to Chattogram Medical College and Hospital, 11 at the Bangladesh Institute of Tropical and Infectious Diseases (BITID), 11 at the 250-bed General Hospital, three to the Chattogram Combined Military Hospital (CMH), and 12 to different Upazila Health Complexes. Additionally, 11 patients were admitted to various private hospitals and clinics.
This year, from January 1 to September 14, the total number of dengue cases in Chattogram reached 2,525 in government hospitals and 437 in private hospitals, bringing the cumulative number of infected individuals to 2,962. There have been no new fatalities attributed to dengue patients in the last 24 hours. However, the total number of deaths this year due to dengue has reached 12 here.
