Cricketers from Nepal Police honoured for outstanding performance in Asian Games

Five cricketers of Nepal Police, who played the T-20 Cricket representing Nepal's national team in the 19th Asian Games, have been honoured for their outstanding performance.

Inspector General of Nepal Police and Chair of Nepal Police Sports Committee Basant Bahadur Kunwar feted the cricketers on Thursday amidst a programme.

Those getting honour include captain of Nepal Police Cricket Team Dipendra Singh Airee, Kushal Bhurtel, Sagar Dhakal and Karan KC and Gulsan Jha.

Addressing the ceremony, Chief of Nepal Police Kunwar said that performance of the cricketers from Nepal Police in the international tournaments has helped promote existence and dignity of the police organization.

Kunwar urged the sportsperson from the Nepal Police to further develop and make robust to their sportsmanship.

The Nepal Police chief said that the entire police organization felt pride and pleasure from the best players and also said that the Nepal Police Sports Committee should remain equally active for the capacity building of the players through their training and management.

On the occasion, Captain Airee said he felt pride for his affiliation to the Nepal Police.
