Kathmandu: The upcoming 10th National Convention of the CPN (Unified Socialist) will approve the socialist plan of action, policy, principle and programmes, the party’s senior leader and former prime minister Jhala Nath Khanal said.
At a party’s programme on Saturday, Khanal stressed the need of party making based on ideology, system, working style and culture.
The party should be united on political and ideological grounds, he added.
Likewise, Khanal said that the communist parties’ government should be formed in Koshi and Sudurpaschim provinces for unity among the leftist parties.
On the occasion, Khanal said that there would be the participation of 1,300 representatives in the General Convention and he would participate in the gathering representing Ilam district.
Meanwhile, the CPN (US) is holding a special news conference on Sunday to share further about the upcoming General Convention.
