Dhaka: A court here today cancelled a plea of former minister Asaduzzaman Noor in a case lodged by the Anti-Corruption Commission (ACC) for amassing illegal wealth. Dhaka Metropolitan Senior Special Judge Sabbir Faiz passed the order as Noor's counsel moved the plea before the court.
According to Bangladesh Sangbad Sangstha, the case documents reveal that the former minister amassed illegal wealth amounting to Taka 5.37 crore and retained it under his possession. The ACC also discovered evidence of suspicious transactions totaling Taka 158.78 crore across 19 bank accounts held by Noor.
ACC deputy director Md Azizul Haque filed the case against Asaduzzaman Noor on July 30, 2025.
