Dhaka: The Council of Advisers at a special meeting today approved the revised national budget for 2024-25, the proposed national budget for the fiscal year 2025-26, and the Finance Bill 2025-26. Chief Adviser Professor Muhammad Yunus presided over the meeting, which took place in the cabinet room of the Chief Adviser’s Office at Tejgaon.
According to Bangladesh Sangbad Sangstha, Chief Adviser’s Deputy Press Secretary Abul Kalam Azad Majumder provided details about the meeting. He stated that Finance Adviser Salehuddin Ahmed and other advisers participated in the proceedings. The approval marks a crucial step in the nation’s fiscal planning and sets the stage for implementing the financial strategies for the upcoming fiscal year.
