Chief Minister of Koshi province, Hikmat Kumar Karki has insisted that cooperatives should produce raw materials required for industries.
In an interaction ‘role of stakeholders in the smooth operation of cooperatives’, organized by the Rashtrasewak Savings and Credits Cooperatives Limited, he laid emphasis on the production of raw materials needed for small and medium industries.
CM Karki further said, “The government should place its priority on poverty alleviation and agriculture productivity”.
He suggested the cooperative organizations operating in the province to play crucial role in maintaining the people’s economic prosperity.
Highlighting the need of robust monitoring to checks anomalies in cooperative sector, he said, adding, “The province government’s policy and programme for the upcoming fiscal year will prioritize the cooperative sector”, he noted.
