Dhaka: The Department of Agricultural Extension (DAE) has established a fertiliser management control room to ensure systematic oversight of fertiliser supply, stock, and distribution nationwide. This initiative aims to enhance the management and transparency of fertiliser availability across the country.
According to Bangladesh Sangbad Sangstha, an office order from the DAE Director General has detailed that the control room will function from Room No. 402 of the DAE's Monitoring and Implementation Wing until further notice. The purpose of this facility is to enable continuous monitoring of the fertiliser supply chain.
The order specifies that officials will be stationed at the control room following a set timetable, ensuring round-the-clock supervision of the fertiliser supply, stock, and distribution process. To maintain seamless operations, officials are scheduled to work in two shifts: from 8:00 am to 3:00 pm and from 3:00 pm to 10:00 pm. This schedule will be followed from Friday to Thursday, allowing for consistent oversight.
Furthermore, the officials have been instructed to submit daily reports concerning fertiliser-related activities. These reports can be sent either via email to [email protected] or shared on a WhatsApp group called "DAE Control Room Daily information." The DAE anticipates that this measure will bolster the central monitoring system of the fertiliser supply chain within the country.
